Something I think many bloggers miss out on that is such a simple and novel idea is Blog Networking. By networking within your niche you will be able to reach people that you would otherwise not at this point in the game. A great example of this is something along the lines of holding a contest of wits and experience such that JohnCow and Gary Conn are atm. This is a great and innovative way to share your readers and in turn share some of his. The wonderful underlying thing is that when two or more people start posts such as those the content is so dynamic. Who do you read? Who is right? And who will win? An exchange of knowledge and information that might not have ever come together in one place now does. This means great things for your blog as search engines will pick this up, social networks eat it up and your rss tab and page views will go through the roof.
Conflict is a major source of content, be it in good fun or something more along the lines of how blogger unleashed does things. Whether or not you agree with any of the methods, you have to admit they are very effective in driving traffic. Other ways to use networking within the blogoshpere I have covered in other posts such as sharing advertising when you start out, or reviews, etc. You will find that people share ideas and sometimes even let you in on upcoming products you would otherwise never have acess to. For instance it seems everyone wants to release an ebook, and before they do usually they pass it out to their inner circle so to speak and ask them to suggest things. Usually after a long editing process and polishing it up you will get a copy free or become an affiliate when their are no others. Its great to earn your ticket into situations like this and in turn it is great to have a group of like minded niche related people to turn to that you could ask questions about based on their own expereince or to fact check your latest and greatest book.
I do not think any blogger can last very long without a good network. Start building yours today. I really think this is an integral part of any successful blogs foundation. A word of caution is that some people may be unethical and may use your ideas, or products. Always protect yourself and only nurture the relationships that you really feel are real, if you keep feeding your ideas to another blogger it will definitely be hard to gain any notoriety.
How do you use networking to grow your blog and further your own agendas?

I can never find similar blogs to mine. While this is great advise, seems harder for some than others.
