Today while performing some research toward a new blog that I have been contemplating since my teenage years I ran across something rather interesting. While this may be of absolutely no consequence to you I still believe it merits being mentioned here for posterity. If you think about it our blog’s are accessible everywhere. That is anywhere the web exists or you are able to dial in access to in its many forms. This being said I have always had an interest in sending something I created into space. While I have toyed with amateur radio amongst other things I can not say that anything of mine has ever made it into space.
Having spent most of my life growing up in the rocket city (Huntsville, Alabama) I was gifted by the community with a great curiosity about all things outside of our planet. While all of this is far beyond what I can elaborate here in just this one article (new blog?) I wanted to share what I found. All this hype and I am sure you are ready to know. It seems that of all the companies I thought would sponsor such a thing had not, and in fact a site which I would never even write about normally. Payperpost.com has sponsored www.bloginspace.com which essentially allows anyone with a blog to sign up and have their own blog transmitted into deep space. It even offers the ability to add your feed for packaged delivery. I am not joking.
Now I checked this out and checked it again before posting to you. You will not ever have to hear from payforpost.com and it gives you the option to opt out of any such thing happening in the future. This is from the details page:
TERMS OF USE
My Space In Space allows organizations and individuals to transmit their blog feeds into deep space. My Space In Space allows users to add their feed to our system which periodically pulls feeds down into bundled transmission packages. Users are required to sign up for the service in order to initiate transmission of their blog. User sign up information, along with their blog is transmitted into deep space. This information may also be used by My Space In Space, a property of PayPerPost.com to communicate to our subscribers via email.
Content
The feeds transmitted by My Space In Space into space are created by the owners of the Blogs submitted to the site. My Space In Space does not censor, edit or otherwise control this content. While My Space In Space supports Intergalactic Free Speech, Bloggers who use this site are urged to keep their blogs devoid of any overt language, comments or content designed to offend, taunt or provoke alien life forms in any way. Aliens may find your lifestyle, grammar or the picture of your girlfriend offensive, we just don’t know. My Space In Space does not warrant that any content transmitted into space will not be objectionable to alien life forms and will not be responsible for alien abductions, close encounters or intergalactic war.
While they are not without humor this is still a nifty little thing for your blog should you be interested in putting it out into the void of space. As you can tell this type of stuff sparks a flame of curiosity within myself, so of course I was unable to resist any urge to skip this. If this is something you would like to participate in then fly on over to www.bloginspace.com
This post is also part of another project here for Big Ben Patton’s Place. I wonder if anyone else can figure out what the next post will be about? And no not the launch of my new blog. Let’s see who can guess!

This is a pretty interesting little topic Ben
. As for what you are going on about….I have no idea. Someone else would probably be a better guesser then me.
Interesting post though.
