For now I am prepared and still working on which panels to go to. If you see one you think you would like to hear me write about by all means please let me know in the comments as picking between all these while some of them run at the same time is turning out to be very hard.

Again if you know anyone going or will be in the Boston area I would love to know and possibly do lunch somewhere while I am in town. It would make one heck of a blog post for sure.

I am still waiting to hear more reviews about the new laptops coming down from dell mainly in the vostro flavor of things as I have had my eye on this line for a while. The bang for the buck really can not be beaten for a productivity laptop which can also be considered a mellow or mild gaming machine. I also am eyeing a flip as they seem so much easier to have on you for these events while I wont be using it for most of it, I could get clips while at the exhibit hall with who knows who??!?

Anyway for now that is how things stand I still am not 100% sure if I should fly or drive, rent or take my own vehicle.

I have prepared the proper attire for this convention as well as minimal luggage for the trip. I am still debating driving or flying. I am also not sure if I will be staying in the hotel where the convention is being held or somewhere nearby. Honestly if things work out the way I want then I will be flying and just taking a cab to the hotel and staying there for the duration not counting dinners, etc.

I have mailed a convention rep asking if the rules of no photography or video pertained to just the luncheon, cocktail parties, and speakers panel or if it also applied to the exhibit floor as well. As it turns out this whole event is covered by this clause. It seems I will be reporting this for the most part the old fashioned way. I hope I will manage to get some pics with my favorite ad rep networks, and even a few “A” listers that might happen to be attending.

Next week I will post the discussion panels as their are many different speakers speaking on topics which can be very prolific to any marketer. If you see something you would like me to attend and report on the blog to you about let me know and I will do my best to make it. At this point I am still planning what I will be doing with my time while at the convention.

So outside waiting for my stimulus check to arrive so I can have my nifty new vostro sent to me I am prepared now for this convention. Any suggestions you have or questions for people I may run into please let me know so I can take advantage of this in person opportunity to see and meet with these very interesting peoples.

Anyone have any good ideas for food or entertainment while in Boston please let me know as well I figure since I am going all the way to Boston I might as well see some of it as well. If you live in the Boston area or will be in the Boston area during the time of the convention and would like to meet up for lunch or something or hit the exhibit hall please use my contact page to get in touch with me so we can make arrangements.

Also today will be my first post about preparations for affiliate summit east. I am currently creating a check list of items I will need to take with me. I also need to check on a ticket to fly up. I will not be allowed to record video or sound while at this convention. I am not sure if this is limited to just the speaking events, or if we will be allowed to cover any of the exhibition hall in this matter. If not then I should be making frequent posts. It is my hope to catch some of our niches top authorities and see if I can ask them a couple of questions. This is setting up to be a very fun weekend.

Another thing I am curious about is if I should plan to be in khakis and a polo for most of this or if I should carry a couple of suits with me as well. I know it always better safe than sorry so I probably will run the gambit on that.

So far I have my digital equipment list finished though. I also need some suggestions for good food while in Boston if anyone has a favorite I would love to try it out.

I am happy to announce that this blog will be covering the Affiliate Summit 2008 East conference this August 10-12, 2008 in Boston. Today I received my email confirming my press pass credentials. I would like to thank Amy Rodriguez, Affiliate Summit Conference Director for the press pass to this amazing event. A single full convention pass (early bird price) will cost an attendee $949. This will be my first major convention. As such I plan to document it as much as possible. I will be creating a section just for this so that I can share the first time convention experience with everyone.

I am a firm believer that attending conventions regularly will provide to you access to information and networking you would otherwise totally miss out on. This itself is very important to any Blogger, Internet Marketer or Affiliate Salesperson.
