I have to say it still feels as good as it did last week to be back. I just want to take a second right off the bat here to thank everyone for putting it out there that I am back. In a blogosphere that seems to have all but screeched to a halt it seems that this site should be publishing still more often than the average. Which by the way was not an original goal. This week was the first week since I launched the weekly round up that I had a difficult time finding noteworthy posts to link to, mainly being that of the 50-60 blogs I usually read only a few had more than one or two updates.

I will save that discussion for tomorrows post, but today we need to dive right in and see what has peculated to the top of the blogosphere.

We grew exponentially in just a short time. Before we start to dissect the month and my earnings and traffic I want to give a big shout out to the Market Leverage Team. Dina, Erick, and Rebecca. They have been along every step of the way and not just for this contest but making sure I have the tools I need to be a better affiliate. I once again urge anyone not signed up yet to do it now it is quick and easy. The tools you will have access to as well as the supportive staff is unparalleled anywhere else in the industry.

All this being said we have quite a bit to cover for this month so grab your favorite cold beverage, or if you prefer something hot and sit back and see what happened.

Had to be prepared for evacuee’s again as well. Also have been actively doing sales calls so I have been using my blogging time for strategics the next day. That being said we should be back to our normal flow here after a rough week. I am rested and ready to start off with a good ol’ Weekly Round Up Post.

I have officially switched to first shift which has changed around my schedule quite a bit. That being said I think I am back on track with all my projects so lets jump into our weekly round up late edition!

This week was a great week for informative content in the blogosphere not just here at Big Ben Patton’s Place, but at quite a few other blogs in our neck of the woods.

This week I wrapped up most of the major changes to the site. I am sure that you are as excited as I am to see these all finished in just under a month of digging through this theme and checking everything at least three times I am done. For Now. Until someone finds something else. Moving along lol. I also managed to get out some pretty decent content.

I hope everyone is enjoying the new formatting that I am taking great lengths to incorporate into every post. I know you guys like the content because you keep coming back, but I have asked a small portion of my readers what about the content could I change or even in the delivery and by far most asked for me to either write shorter posts or start breaking it up and formatting it. I believe with my first attempt at doing this all the way to the end I had delivered the goods. While this adds a substantial amount of time to my daily posting habits I will try my hardest to keep this habit going to make your reading experience a positive one.

Yesterday I discovered another great way for any affiliate specialist to earn yet another stream of cash if used correctly even on autopilot. Of course I am talking about Triple.com. If you have not stopped by and signed up I highly recommend you do as this has as much potential as say the HostGator.com Affiliate program.

I also spent a couple of days this week working on a sideline project to test some theories that I had come up with about site flipping. From concept to auction block in 24 hours and within another 24 hours the first bid.

While I have not yet broke even the promise is there as I have never done this before. This itself will be a mini series early in September.

I decided it was about time that I shared my feelings on three of the most successful affiliate networks that I use and give you a general outline on which may work for you. Hopefully these were helpful articles and hopefully you signed up if you haven’t already. If not I suggest you sign up now, procrastinating never won anything except being late to the party.

In other news one major theme that seems to be buzzing quite hot here lately in the blogosphere is the fact that feedburner continues to stay out partying on a daily basis and is having issues correctly counting subscribers. From JohnChow.com, to Balkis.com, even ImWithJoe.com have seen crazy and unanswerable changes in subscription numbers, but without a single unsubscribe. Whats happening? We may never know…

Well another great week of informative posts and even a review of an upcoming blog. Hopefully everyone had a great week as we are getting closer to the close of summer here in the northern hemisphere. If not then I especially hope that this upcoming week will change the tide for you. Let’s dive right in and see what all happened this week and not just here at Big Ben Patton’s Place but across the Blogosphere.

First I just want to thank everyone for coming here every day and reading this blog. This is the fuel for my fire to keep writing even when I am not sure what to write about. Without you the reader I would be locked in that echo chamber still, and I am sure we all remember how disconcerting that is. I also want to give a shout out to Host Gator for providing top notch hosting to this blog. It has been roughly three months since I switched and honestly their is no looking back. If your host is giving you trouble I highly recommend switching to the swamp pack as that’s what I’m using.

I have many many more in store for you all. Hopefully you are enjoying them so far. Essentially this is all in preparation for September’s Grand Re-Opening / Re-Launch / Contest. I can not reveal any of the specific details but rest assured Market Leverage is the primary sponsor.

This upcoming week I plan to address social networking and pretty much everything to do with the subject. I recently managed to get my own house in order on this subject and I thought that I would share the steps I am taking to ensure success on this front. This is a week set to be one of the most exciting with all the changes and excellent content.

Wow another week gone by again, this is starting to fly by me entirely to fast. This week we saw alot of activity throughout the blogosphere. AND we had a page rank update courtesy of Google. I am sure you have noticed I managed to squeek out of the gates with a pr3. While my goal was infact for a pr4 ranking I am totaly ok with what google handed me. I am double posting today to help some folks out and to start working towards the next page rank update.

I also released that this blog will be going through a redesign phase and then a re-launch, sort of a regrand opening to draw in some new readers. I am planning to narrow the focus of this blog more to blogging and internet marketing tips. While I will still be doing reviews and covering some random news when applicable in hopes of making the future brighter for this blog I am taking steps to “step up my game”.

This week I decided to switch it up a bit and cover some issues that can help anyone and not just the blogger or internet marketer. The first post of the week we covered time management. Normally most would think that getting up and going to work and paying bills is enough, and while this will get you through life it may do it without any measureable amount of success. By plotting out some sort of plan in advance you will have an edge on the rest of the rat race.

I also decided to review another blog that is up and coming the IronBlogger blog and if you didnt already catch on this is a site that you need to visit daily for some very nice updates. Rob has some good stuff planned for this blog and as long as he stays consistent , and for that matter as long as we all do with our posting on our own blogs we will be successful. Make sure to visit him out.

This week I decided to switch gears from helping you keep your blog running smoothly to another topic that I think has potential for anyone willing to try it. The three part series on Opt-In Email Marketing was a huge success, and I hope people actually take steps to try this at least once. The ability to provide yourself with an extra funnel of cash even if just to support your blog hosting and advertising is a step forward from where you are now. Those of us already using these tools to do this can attest that as long as you never give up you will turn a profit every month. While this series was in no way attempting to make you an internet millionaire it did layout the basic guidelines that many successful entrepreneurs use to start their Internet Marketing empires. This should be enough in itself especially with the step by step process to get you motivated. Which was my goal from the start!

Also this week we Reviewed “The Net Fool” Who as you can see is surely no fool at all. I am happy to bring everyone in my reach to this authors blog as the advice, commentary and layout of the site are top notch and original.

Another week and some blistering hot content to the masses. I have decided to publish the Blogger’s Toolbox Page a little early. I hope everyone finds this a valuable resource and reference. We are doing a great job getting close to the goals I set earlier this week and I just want to thank everyone for stopping by and taking a look at the blog.

Also this last week we saw a few changes to the site and some extra polishing being done. The month I was posting away from the keyboard left a few things in disrepair and as such you may notice that twitter friends is gone. My biggest hope at this point is that twitter does not fail under its own success. Their attempts at scaling the service to traffic loads is not quite working out the way they expected. I would encourage google or even microsoft to buy this service slightly monetize it and deliver its true potential. Otherwise I fear that many will be leaving the service for others. One of twitters truly amazing achievements so far is to bring together the largest unified community of microbloggers in the world. What will happen? Who knows. I do know they are working hard to get things right though.

I am sure everyone noticed that the blog took a day off yesterday, and more than likely you will be getting this post late in the evening if not the next morning. I have been polishing some things up on the site, removing dead ad’s as well as debunk blog advertisements. While I take great joy in making money from this passion I do not take great joy in linking to paid for or not to a blog which the author is no longer staying regular with his posting. Thats my pet peeve for this month. I did somehow manage to have some pretty decent content for the last month and not even have a normal and reliable means of connection with the rest of the world.

Yes thats right the move is over and I am officially online and settled in the new place. I will say I went from a captive audience telco to a mainstream provider. Essentially 1mbit to 8mbit. I am not complaining as the cost is 50% less than before.

Moving along. We saw an outstanding post with some interviews of what I consider some of the top blogs that you can learn from and grow with. I want to thank everyone who participated again just in case I have not already.

Another wonderful week for the content. I can’t believe we are getting close to three months old here and thier is no sign of stopping anytime soon. We covered a lot this week. I updated everyone where I was with affiliate summit east, how to deploy and operate a proxy for profit, what arbitrage is and how it can line your pockets with green, that forums are a wonderful way to make money on the side and grow a community which you have massive interest in, How to setup a successful opt-in mailing list, and last but not least on this Friday the 13th, Blog life cycles.

I think everyone can identify with the blog lifestyle post. So far I haven’t felt the sting but I know it is surely coming as it comes for everyone eventually.

Another great week packed with some excellent media. I will be taking many of these subjects into finer detail later this month. This week has been touching on some things which I have not yet posted about. This next week holds a lot of promise as well as I will be explaining how to make money online using a couple of different whitehat methods. Trust me it will be fun and you may even may a few $$$ in the process.

Remember when we break 100 RSS subs I will random off to the top 10 commentators a Big Ben Patton’s Place T-Shirt and ship it to you along with 1000 Entrecredits and a few BBP business cards!

I hope everyone in the northern hemisphere is having a great summer it is starting to get really hot here in the south as the humidity creeps ever higher every day. Air conditioning is definitely a luxury I care not to think about living without at this point. As it really helps me out when my allergies are flaring up.

Another exciting week at here at Big Ben Patton’s Place. Just one more day to get in on your share of the Contest Extravaganza. We have a lot of contestants looking to win some very nice prizes. I am looking forward to awarding these live via a meebo chat room starting on May 31st. Good luck to everyone and thank you for participating. I really look forward to the upcoming month as I have some very exciting content planned. Also I am still waiting for my first real product to come in from its manufacturer to share with you all in a very wonderful video blog post which will also double as a product review. I can not release the details at this moment as it will just kill the surprise.

I hope my posts are helping everyone become a better blogger, and earn more from the web at large. I would love to get some suggestions about upcoming content as I really enjoy writing content that people want to read.

I have decided that my ebook which I was going to launch as my first pay to own product will in fact be free to everyone who will sign up for my newsletter. I have added the appropriate link in the nav bar above so make sure you stop by and get your copy.

Another great week! This past week we talked about affiliate marketing and adjusting your expectations to be real. I find so often people are gung ho and ready to put it to the grind stone, but after the initial but kicking they burn out not so much because it is not something they can not do, but more so because people feel like they should be making more. As you progress past this point and become comfortable with PPC campaigns with a little luck you will the numbers raise along with your experience. I can only offer one more bit of advice that everyone should know. Never give up.

We also looked at how we should lay out our adsense in our blog. I even took it a step further and shared with everyone the official way to make your ads relevant to your content. At first this was working wonderfully here for me on the front page. The rest of my pages were essentially displaying the correct content. After about three of four days it seems that my only adsense bar left on the site is acting up again and only showing content related to my last name. This is something I will be addressing for everyone in the next weeks worth of content as it is completely counter productive to have ads such as this on display for your readers if they are complete garbage.

The second round up:

Another outstanding week in the way of site innovation and informative content here in my part of the blogosphere. This week I decided after finally being fed up with other blogger’s sites that I would go ahead and point out the correct way to place ad sense and how to force it to be relevant to your pages content. We also covered the importance of social networking in a lay up to a five part series all about traffic generation. I previously had written this for publishing on thatblogsite.com, but I thought that my readers would appreciate it being reposted here so we could discuss it further if needed. The last couple of posts in this series are actually quite important for start up blogs looking to gain exposure.

We are winding ever closer to the close of our first contest extravaganza. So far entries are getting competitive. No one person is dominating in the sheer amount of entries which they have. Promote this contest and raise your chances of winning part of the $2000+ worth of prizes. Their is no limit to how much you promote, just be tasteful is all I ask.

While last week I had mentioned that the site was finally completed as you can see I was most certainly wrong. I decided in the ergonomics of the site that I would make it easier to read and use the menus. Basically just trying to clear out useless clutter and put a smooth and easy to read spin on things. I know many people will not visit a site twice if they come to it and they are unable to enjoy interacting with it. Let me know if you see anything missing or something you might like to see added. I am always looking for new ways to make this a better experience for all my readers.

I did add a thread rating system which you will see at the end of this post. Feel free to rate the threads as you see fit. I see this as the easiest way to anonymously let me know if I am doing a great job, or snoozing on the job.
