One of the blogs I make sure to check daily is JohnCow.com and if you have been a reader of this blog for anytime then you probably feel the same way. Many people may have noticed a change in the style of writing on the blog during the auction fiasco, and while many thought the site had actually changed hands, it obviously did. The new owners are letting the cat out of the bag, and while I know who the new John Cow is I am not going to tell. That would not be any fun for you!
You see while the original owner/writer for JohnCow.com is a great guy. I really think the new owners have taken it up a level with how to really make money online. Many people agree that the state of the mmo blogosphere is udder crap whoa a cow pun on my blog lol. This blog shines and as the recent Conn Vs Cow challenge has shown their is alot you can learn from the new JohnCow.com I want to first off invite anyone who recently quit reading and still has an interest in making some cash online to stop by again and read what the new owners are putting out. Bob did a good job milking the internet and was a really funny guy. His expertese on mmo was not really near what the new writers have been doing.
They did release what parent company owns the blog which is ACHRON MEDIA from Houston Texas. While I am not sure if I have ever heard of this company I am sure this is not the last time we will be for sure. Here is what they wrote in a recent post:

How this is going to work is Thursday we will be making the announcement and then on the following Thursday (one week from then) we are going to be making the draw. The ONLY criteria to be entered into the draw is that you have downloaded the ebook and have an active subscription… there are no other criteria needed.
If you can figure out who we are from the hints I gave, go ahead and comment on it, we will not respond to them though and any of you that know because I have talked to you… would be cool if you could just comment a hint instead of saying who it is.
While I can not enter since I have done business with the new owners I would love to see a reader of Big Ben Patton’s Place take home a prize for this contest. These are some very decent things to walk away with from one of the best blogs out there. While I have an upcoming post about blogging integrity and the complete lack of it in the “A” list arena I have to say that JohnCow.com is definately an exception to this rule of thumb. And before anyone points out that JohnCow.com does not have 30k worth of rss, this is not the primary factor for me putting that blog into the “A” list. John Cow is an “A” Lister simply because of being honest and writing quality content that you can ACTUALLY learn something from.
All this being said has anyone here actually stopped reading JohnCow.com since the new owners have taken it over? If so I am curious as to the why behind it as I have become much more enthralled by the new writer overall.

I started reading the Cow it seems at the same time the change took place. I never read the old cow….so, I can’t compare.
When I found the current cow…I was immediately impressed and have been reading ever since. It’s through the cow that I became more familiar with the great Garry Conn…among others.
I found all of your all around the same time, I remember the day, it changed my life forever!
