eBay Inc. v. Digital Point Solutions, Inc. et al

Posted on 28. Aug, 2008 by in News

This is a prime example of why you should avoid blackhat methods. I do not endorse nor will I ever endorse anyone or any site that has to cheat to get ahead. These guys are in for one heck of a ride, but judging by the lack of quality that has existed in the digital point forums since I became a member tells me it was only a matter of time. I sincerely feel for everyone not directly involved but a staff member or moderator. Hope your ready to hit court. Have fun!

Last I checked Racketeering (RICO) Act cases when brought to charges 90% of the time end in conviction. What do you think? TOAST!

Wow, that’s what happens man, I don’t know if they are guilty or not, but I know people do this type of stuff and it sucks! We’ll see what happens.

Hey Ben, found your blog through a comment you left on imwithjoe.com

I was reading the thread yesterday on sitepoint about all this. While I never knew who actually ran digitalpoint they were stupid to do this.

DigitalPoint is a huge forum and while it may not always have the best people on there, a lot of people would kill to have such a popular forum.

I signed up there awhile ago but never really posted except maybe once I think. I do know that it is a great way to introduce a product and to have all the suckers buy it. I actually plan to try this out by creating a product over the next few weeks and testing it out.

That is if DigitalPoint even exists then…… ;)

I am kind of in the same boat as you are about this, that was a wildly popular forum, even if some of the clientele was not that great you are right people would have killed to have such a popular forum.

I also signed up, but after the third or fourth time of going through bogus posts I stopped visiting. And your spot on, just grab a product from 7dollaroffers.com and use the code magic from rapid action profits to make yourself the affiliate and cash in. It works. Trust me.

As far as whether it exists, if they are taking these guys to court I can not really believe a cease and desist order was not also issued. Only time will tell what is going on. This will be a case for history though.

    In My world
cookie stuffing will get you in trouble too
its probably the main reason why I am still carrying all the pregnancy weight and my kids are already 1 and 3
    too much cookie stuffing.

honestly, I thought something fishy was going on when it took like friggin 6 minutes to go through and deny all the cookies that were attempting to set.
I love my firefox browser and how easily it allows me to ” just say no” to too many cookies .
kinda creeps me out seeing how many cookies all the advertisers and sites try and set.
I counted 30 from just ONE site the other day.
    ugh
    thanks and take care,’
    Bry

Yep that’s one of the main reasons I quit visiting a few of the sites in my book marks, I check sites before linking to as I can not promote blackhat methods or send people into them.

I would say a good indication of funny business happening would be getting popped with 30 cookies.. Sheesh!

Argh that was a terrible pun :p

But yes firefox is brilliant due to its addons and this case will be one to watch
