Five Fast And Hard Blogging For Cash Tips

Posted on 31. Jul, 2008 by in Blogging Tips, Internet Marketing Tips

I find it rather amazing at the very high percentage of blogs I am coming across that really think making money with a blog is very easy. While I will not argue a blog can have multiple streams of income with out proper exploitation just tossing up something without a lot of effort probably is not going to do a whole lot in the short or long term. This probably accounts for the majority of new blogs in many of the niches that I am participating in. While this type of competition really presents no challenge at all I feel I should take a day and cover a few basics for the beginning blogger who is blogging for profit more than anything.

Your blog is essentially going to end up being a reflection of who you are. Whether this is your online persona or your actual real life self is really up to you. You will ultimately get back what you put in and while you may be a newbie this still stands true. Along with all the other paradigm’s that reign true for blogging such as planning, deploying and maintaining a blog you will need to be extra vigilant as making your sole goal to make money will be difficult without focusing on the real details which makes most blogs survive and flourish.

If making money is your goal here are Five vital tips to keep in mind for success:

1.) Have a Knowledge or Passion to learn about a worthwhile niche
If you can not articulate the subject material you have chosen to your readers you can pretty much just go ahead and hang it up. Taking care of your readers both old and new is very important. Create value day in and day out to increase your chances of success on this venture.

2.) Establish A Domain Name
Don’t play around and use portals or anything of the likes. Pony up and get your own domain name and hosting. This alone instead of using a MU will double your chance of success. It demands at least at first for your new arrivals to take you seriously.

3.) Keep Your Content Current
Consistently post about material that matters for the subject or niche that you have chosen. While it does not take posting daily to succeed it does take you caring enough about your readers and future to keep on a schedule.

4.) Identify with your readers
Do not talk over your readers heads or from a soap box. Take care to be on the level with them and relate the material at hand in a way that will make them feel like they are having a conversation instead of being preached too. This goes hand in hand with marketing where you make people feel like your content is whats missing from their own success.

5.) Setup and Deployment Of Money Making Factors
How you setup and deploy your blog can greatly affect any monetary return and future success or lack there of.

A.) Optimize layout and theme for success
Going with a proven theme to make the site easy on the eyes; as well as, enabling you to focus on more important issues which will ultimately get you to your blogging for cash goal.

B.) Banner Ad’s and Products

Take care to note on the majority of blogs which you will be competing with how they are deploying their ad’s and products. While I do not recommend that you copy them after all their is no way to really know if they are experiencing any success or not. Keep in mind what you put on your own site is an endorsement even with out you actually writing it. If you put up ad’s for vaporware and B.S. info products you will probably not see any customer loyalty except to your once and a blue moon freeware items. Focus on quality and value and take care to only advertise for products and causes that are worthwhile.

Over monetization is a ramped problem throughout the blogosphere and while you may reep some short term gains from his eventually it will catch up to you in the form of higher bounce rates lower rss subs and general failure. Find the balance that works and watch where people are click to exploit your blogging for cash campaign.

Remember “If you build it… They will come.”

Their is no secret to success. If their was one it is to pick topics that you know about that people want to learn about and then provide as much useful information about those topics as you possibly can and then write in a clear, faily concise, eas to scan form with a catchy headline.

If you can follow this outline and stay dedicated to the thought of success and remain open to change and listen to your blog you will have taken the first steps that 99% of the blogging for cash blogs did not do. Stay vigilant and write quality content that is honest.

If you do this success will find you in due time.

Good one Ben, I agree. Many get into blogging thinking it will be a quick way to make some money. Nothing about blogging is quick, unless it’s a spam blog.

Building up traffic, content, loyal readers, and finding your voice all take time. If you pick a topic just because it seems like it would make money, you’ll have a hard time maintaining the blog.

    Great tips as always Ben.
I have known many people who start a blog just for quick cash and give up when they find out it actually requires a bit of work

I’ll admit. I quit a blog that was doing really well after about a year for an offer that I thought was pretty good at that time. Today, if I kept on developing it, I could probably make that much in a month from that one blog only.

Blogging is really a long term plan that you need to set. I made my mistake with my first blog a few years ago, but since I’m now really checking out blogging, I’m not making that mistake again!
