<description>Good one. You know, in the beginning I heard so often &quot;do a review site, this is how you make money&quot; and I pondered it, but, I just kinda moved away from that. Nothing wrong with it, but, it just seemed like all they were doing was another form of selling. I&#039;ll review stuff I use, know about, am interested in, or think will help my readers.

I won&#039;t just go pick a clickbank product and write a review with my affiliate link :)

I definitely like how you are looking more at the long term goal of your blog as opposed to the instant monetary gain one can get from reviews and paid postings.

I did do those at first, on my blogger blog, my self hosted blog never got approved, and thank God. Because now that I have grown in my blogging knowledge, I am so happy not to have paid posts on my blog.

Now, they can be good if that is how one plans to make some money, but, if you are looking to build up a decent blog, with decent pagerank...then it&#039;s not a good idea. I would almost say, if one want&#039;s to do something like that, it should be a side blog and not the main one.

People will be surprised how often you can get review copies and beta copies of products. All you have to do is ask, worse they can say is no.
