If you are anything like me then you love your gmail account and you like keeping everything in one place.

In this video I will show you how to use one gmail account to create as many email addresses as you want a way to make sure all this is filtered into separate folders (or tags as gmail calls them).

This is useful especially if you want multiple accounts with a place like Twitter or Ezine articles but you want to use one gmail to control all these accounts.

So take a look at the video, let me know what you think and fire me any questions you have:

    Hi Forest,
I found this very interesting and I’m definitely going to give it a whirl to re-organize my email.

I use IMAP and Outlook, but have been told how powerful GMail can be, so want to at least utilize it to try out what you’ve showcased here, with the current gmail account I have.

I would be interested in seeing a video on how to set up gmail to be connected via your different domains, as I’ve heard that can be done also.

Thanks again… have a great day!
    Christine

    • forest_parks (Reply) on Sunday 27, 2009

      Hey Michelle,

You can filter all the incoming mail that you already have based on where its coming from so you don’t even have to set p additional email addresses to get organised.

I’m not sure about connecting gmail to each website but I will definitely look into that and make a video if I work it out.

      Thanks.

Hi forest, really great video, I went ahead and gave it 5 stars on youtube, the only suggestion I would have is perhaps raise the microphone volume by maybe just 20% more, and it would be perfect, it seemed just a tiny bit low.

    Till then,

    Jean

    • forest_parks (Reply) on Sunday 27, 2009

Thanks very much. Yeah I noticed the mic was a little low. I was using the one built into my mac and the new screen recorder software that comes built into the new OS…. So have not had a chance to work out how to change all the settings yet. I want to get a decent headset at some point to improve my audio.

      • used tires (Reply) on Sunday 27, 2009

Thanks for replying Forest, yeah I would say no rush on the headset, the video and audio as it stands it already is high quality, If I just raise the sound manually on my end, the quality is outstanding. So.. perhaps maybe try to raise the volume manually in the editing process of the video….. but if you can’t do it, that’s okay too, like I said, it is already high quality as it is, =D I hope you don’t misunderstand me.

        Till then,

        Jean

        • forest_parks (Reply) on Sunday 27, 2009

Thanks…. I actually have a headset already that might work. So will test this, if not I won’t worry.

Thanks for sharing! Currently I’ve only been using Gmail to control my POP3 email accounts, but even that feature is limited to 5 accounts.

Now it looks like I can do a bit more! =)

Being able to control multiple gmail accounts through one account is a very powerful feature. Gmail is furthering distancing themselves from their competitors like hotmail. In a very short amount of time, Google has managed to create a great e-mail client.

    • forest_parks (Reply) on Sunday 27, 2009

Agreed, they are far better especially with the chat and video in built.

Wow I didn’t know you could do this in gmail. This could be very beneficial. Instead of using MS Outlook to manage all my e-mail accounts, I could forward them all to individual gmail accounts….very cool.

    • forest_parks (Reply) on Sunday 27, 2009

I agree, you can manage pop3 accounts in Gmail too. I hope to put a vid together for this.

  14. Christine (Reply) on Sunday 27, 2009

I’ve enjoyed following the comments. Let me know when you do ones on setting up domain emails in gmail and being able to”reply” from the domain PLUS filter them! That will be challenge. :)

    Thanks, Forest!

  15. Luke from Earn Extra Money (Reply) on Sunday 27, 2009

I find combining email accounts into one Google account really very helpful, but I think there’s one area where it lacks: You can only have one automatic signature, despite how many accounts are linked together. So, even though you can make it so you reply from the account that the message was sent to, you have to use the same signature across all accounts.

    Anyone have a solution?
