In our first post we covered exactly what a double opt in email marketing list is. We also took the time to define what is was not, and how easy it is to tell the difference between the two. In our second post I outlined how you can easily gather leads for your upcoming campaign. This is all wonderful and helps you to the end game goal of actually pitching your first sale to your list of leads which you have gathered to this point. Today’s post will focus on how to warm your leads up to what you want to show them; as well as, where you will be getting these products to sell in the first place.

Just like with any situation in life where you want to show someone something they may not know they need, or particularly want you will have to put the golden salesperson hat on. Remember to be honest, be kind and try not to dig any holes that an innocent person might otherwise fall into. I am sure by this point your asking what are you talking about? Easy enough but lets start out with something else first.

Lets pretend you now have your first 1000 leads. Good job it is now time to put a plan to paper so to speak. Generally you will never want to mail more than one time a day and depending on how your sales are going you may want to cut that back untill you find a middle ground where you can gain the most success. For my main list which is a “blogging for profit” list I can mail daily and see no negative effects. People will leave your list from time to time, do not fret just relax and make sure you have not just started doing anything particularly different than the norm for you. Now that we have decided on a kind time frame to be sending your mails you need to have a format. I generally open with a variable as 99% of auto responders will allow you to do this.

At this point you have your leads stored in an auto responder, and the auto responder loaded with its first presales letter. Sweet. Now to make this a little confusing to everyone we are going to stop and talk about products.

Product creation is not my forte, but it seems that every blogger is writing an ebook filling it with affiliate links to products and giving it away, or selling it for less than $10. This is a great example of a way to make some extra money on the side. Depending on your reach, reader loyalty, price point and a plethora of other tiny details you could easily potentially bringin on a successful launch $10k usd. The art of launching a product all by itself  is worthy of its own blog; however, since it is what I will call a smaller issue at this point since the email marketer will not be so worries about launching the product as they will be about gettin it in front of their sales leads eyes.

That is one facet of email marketing products, another way is to become an affiliate for clickbank. Generally in my experience you will have to have a fairly large list and very high loyalty as most click bank items are not cheap, and for good reason if you ever have the chance to look through what they offer. This is essentially a sort of affiliate sales network or bank which you sell on commission which is the easiest way I know to explain this. Clickbank.com will be your most reputable and more than likely most expensive product bank that you will use. They pay out via check bi-monthly. Many prefer the paypal method which is coming up next.

Most people starting out want the tangible evidence of their new endeavor as soon as possible. In terms of the internet and marketing especially in the email world this is possible via paypal. I highly consider you make yourself as transparent as possible providing a phone number, name address, and also taking the time to verify your account; as well as, making it a business account. This will help your customers build a repoir with you that may of otherwise not taken the time to have. I found after changing my paypal account to the according way and putting my business info out and providing my skype in phone number anyone who may have been hesitant to buy from you before will feel comfortable knowing they can call you and somehow or eventually get in touch with you in the flesh. Transparency is important as even the most remote hint of anything other than the straight and narrow will mean lost sales, customers and possibly a decline in your number of leads active on your list.

In terms of what I use for my lists I have been known to sell items directly from 7dollaroffers.com you can surf there and see, if your a person in the know you will be aware that these products can be sold by you as an affiliate with 100% commission to your paypal account, that is if you know how to. If you were to just send folks to these products they will be paying the author 100% of the time; however, if you pay attention just a little bit more today I will show you something that not everyone knows yet. Most of these products are loaded witha  program called rapid action profits, this in short will allow your affiliates who know how to sell the products. Now I know what your thinking why would anyone in their right mind allow someone else to take their earnings. Simple its a 3:1 ration 99% of the time on these products and the affiliate is not eligble for the One time offers or back end sales after the main sale. This means every 4th product you sell the author is getting the money instead of you. This makes this a great relationship as you the affiliate that did nothing but find the product and do what I am about to show you and then mail it and watch the paypal account fill up. In turn their product gets promoted and they get 25% of the sales and 100% of the backend and oto’s. A good trade off for the author or producers of the product since this allows them to autopilot their profits while movin on to the next product.

Ok I bear with me and pay attention to this part. When you find a product you would like to promote from a site like 7dollaroffers.com it will have a standard URL, for example: Say My product resides at www.benjaminpatton.com ; it loads the default index and laddeda, ok the magic trick to earning without owning your product is simple as this. make the url look like this www.bejaminpatton.com/?e=yourpaypayemailaddy@youremail.com put this link into your autoresponder to track clicks on add it into your corresponding presales leter, BEFORE you mail test your link it should take you directly to for example benjaminpatton.com you will not see once clicked or entered the extra stuff I just showed you. The only way you will know if what I just showed you worked is to click the buy now button it will load a paypal invoice screen with an email in the upper left quadrant of the screen in big bold text. It should be the email addy that you typed where and how I showed you to. If this does not show up you did not do this step correctly, if it did close the window and begin mailing.

Your now more or less ready for your first mailing of a simple info product, software or anything else digitally recieveable. Their are enough creditable, honest, and really great products on the net for so many niches that you should never HAVE to create your own product. BUT eventually if your goals are to build a real marketing empire you will embark on the road of real product creation, prelauch, launch and super success. This however is for a totaly different post.
