The second round up:

Another outstanding week in the way of site innovation and informative content here in my part of the blogosphere. This week I decided after finally being fed up with other blogger’s sites that I would go ahead and point out the correct way to place ad sense and how to force it to be relevant to your pages content. We also covered the importance of social networking in a lay up to a five part series all about traffic generation. I previously had written this for publishing on thatblogsite.com, but I thought that my readers would appreciate it being reposted here so we could discuss it further if needed. The last couple of posts in this series are actually quite important for start up blogs looking to gain exposure.

We are winding ever closer to the close of our first contest extravaganza. So far entries are getting competitive. No one person is dominating in the sheer amount of entries which they have. Promote this contest and raise your chances of winning part of the $2000+ worth of prizes. Their is no limit to how much you promote, just be tasteful is all I ask.

While last week I had mentioned that the site was finally completed as you can see I was most certainly wrong. I decided in the ergonomics of the site that I would make it easier to read and use the menus. Basically just trying to clear out useless clutter and put a smooth and easy to read spin on things. I know many people will not visit a site twice if they come to it and they are unable to enjoy interacting with it. Let me know if you see anything missing or something you might like to see added. I am always looking for new ways to make this a better experience for all my readers.

I did add a thread rating system which you will see at the end of this post. Feel free to rate the threads as you see fit. I see this as the easiest way to anonymously let me know if I am doing a great job, or snoozing on the job.

We did manage to break the top 500k blogs in Techorati up 250k from last update. Also I am happy to say we are stable at 50+ rss subscriptions. I am really hoping that the polished look and awesome content will drive this to 100+ before the end of May. If this blog breaks 100+ rss subs before the end of May I will random off a Big Ben Patton’s Place T-shirt to those that are subscribed. GOOD LUCK!

Well, all very well. But didn’t I have comments for May? I remember commenting. Did you delete them? I can’t believe the contest is coming to an end. I have to get working. I am working on the video.

I havent reset the stats since May 1 08 Nathaniel. But don’t worry their is plenty of time left to get your entries in. As of today Video blog posts are worth 2x the entries!

I think the site has come together quite well and looks and functions great. Congrats on putting together such a good blog! I like the “My Comment History” feature, I wish more sites would use it.

The site looks better with my comment history, thread rating etc. and good that i am hopping well with the commentator top
Btw i never have made a video, so can not promote it in that way either
