Ok lets start off by thanking the people at woopra.com on getting me into the beta quickly. Second lets thank them for raising the bar in analytics. Don’t believe me? Let me show you.
I will for the next few days offer a free Live desktop tour of woopra via showmypc.com software. Its free to download and use and you just need to contact me to arrange a session. I am happy to answer any questions and show you exactly why this is going to be the best analytics program out.
Now most will say why switch from Google Analytics, and to be honest I am still running it to compare accuracy against aw stats, etc. I will say the defining difference is the simplicity of having it built into a client which you can run anywhere you can take a thumb drive. It is not system intensive by any means, nor does it lag your site or server. The whole operation is executed just like analytics for google via adding a string of code to your footer which is a java script. This offloads all the work to the layered technologies grid servers. If your not sure what that is, easiest way I know to explain is distributed computing power. So now you are still in the same boat as far as loads on machines as you would be with Google Analytics. Not bad now lets dive into the interesting stuff.
Here we have a small shot of the Dash board. In this picture you can see the basic layout. Top left is the overview, hits, views, unique, etc history. Both Hourly and Daily displays. The right top section is what content people have viewed, or what pages specifically. Bottom right is a country listing. Mid lower is search results that yielded a response for your site which people then followed to your site. Bottom left shows Your referers, which essentially is where they were before they were on your site. You have the option to display in lead format, bar graphs, or pie charts. Also every shot on the top can display, todays visits and page views, or total views, average visits. It also has a live feature which shows who is on your site right now.
I know these aren’t the largest views but it gives you a feel for it without publicly displaying my analytics.
Your Live Tab will show you a world map which is zoomable using the scroll button on your mouse, as well as a listing by user number or gives you the opportunity to tag every user uniquely for future visits. Thats not all by any means either on the left hand tab you get a complete break down of the users information. Including: IP, Country, City, Country, Language, Local Time, Browser, OS Platform, Screen resolution, what page they are currently viewing and their referrer. It also gives you a user history which includes: Total Visits, total page views, average page views per visit, and average time per visit. This isn’t all, as if you needed more power here, you can directly contact anyone on your page directly via a built in java messenger. I don’t recommend using this often as some may not take so kindly to it.
This is the analytics tab, we have already seen the bread and butter now its time for the record keeping aspect. This suite does everything that Google analytics does and exports to excel, etc. As you can see you have a map overlay that can be changed from today to any point in history.
Here you have your normal stuff that makes up the analytics it will display any of the stats Google does in either bar or pie charts or export them as well. The next update will support the ability to let someone else have a special code to login and view all your stats via their own client on their own computer. This will make transactions dealing with domains, sites, blogs, etc much more reliable as this suite would be quite hard to crack open.
This brings us to the login screen. I highly suggest you stop by woopra.com and sign up for the beta of this. The top end limit during beta last I heard was 10k visitors per day after that reporting is shut off. It is rumored that this service once taken live will be inexpensive depending on your traffic and free for many blogs and startups due to such light traffic.
So what are you waiting for? Woopra.com Go. Now. If you would like to schedule a free live demo via showmypc.com software please contact me via the contact form in the menu bar and I will get back with you asap.

It is phenomenal – you should have a live session on here one day so people can see what’s cracking.
I’ll get it added to TUK when I have time
I also signed up. Now I’m just waiting for approval. This looks very cool from what I have seen and heard

I still can’t believe you had woopra a full day or so before me and I told you about the program about a week or more after I signed up. *deep breath* jk… It’s awesome though guys when stumbleupon hits or something like that it’s so fun just to watch the map and see people interacting with your content. You can tag your frequent people or wordpress will tag commentors for you automatically if you’ve installed Woopra via the plugin. I hope you all get in, but it seems beta approvals won’t happen until end of the week as they’ve got some big changes in the back end and plugin coming this week.

It really is amazing, and I can not stress enough for everyone to head over to woopra’s site and sign up for the beta!
It is a service like this where one could really goto a bank and show off the merits of hard work. Something I found very hard in the begining and If i had Woopra geez well I think me investment could have been tripled.

Have you tried the new Woopra 1.3 RC1. It’s been totally rewritten under the hood and is faster and better than ever. This is the pre-release candidate, so not for wimps.
I don’t like the idea of your tracking getting shut down once you reach a certain limit. I personally use StatCounter and love it, you can get great results and information with the free basic plan.

I agree, I use Statcounter too… And Google Analytics.
That is a great idea and thanks for your post. Its starting to make much more sense now after I’ve been doing the research on my own.
Thanks for the link.
